Dear Coaches, Parent, Spectators, and Players,
We are 100% dependant on your assistance daily to make RSGSA a great program for all involved. So please remember the following informational items:
Please help set up goals flags and lining if you are the first game.
Please help breakdown the fields if you are the last game of the day.
Please pick up any trash left on the fields.
Please volunteer to coach, assistant coach, help out at practice, or become a board member.
Please remember that we are here for the kids and the coaches are all volunteers.
Sportsmanship should be a top priority at all times.
Respect all Players, all coaches, all parents and all referees.
If something is not working right please let a board member know.
We have paid trainers developing our level of play so please encourage their use.
We DO NOT allow any of the following activities:
No Smoking at any practice or game field.
Pets are not allowed at any games, practices, training or meetings.
Profane language should never be present at any game or practice.
Spitting, Hitting, or other violent behavior will not be tolerated in anyway.
Attached is the Fox Valley Sportsmanship Statement:
Fox Valley Soccer League Sportsmanship Statement
WHEREAS the purpose of the Fox Valley Soccer League is to promote youth soccer, and
WHEREAS our goal is to teach excellence in soccer skills and promote the ideals of sportsmanship both on and off the soccer field,
BE IT RESOLVED that all communities participating in the Fox Valley Soccer League will observe and honor the "Slaughter Rule" adopted by their Fox Valley Representative on March 11, 1992.
Fox Valley Soccer League Slaughter Rule
Teams winning by more than four (4) goals will make any and all appropriate adjustments to their lineup to avoid further increasing the goal differential. These adjustments shall include, but not be limited to:
Rotating stronger players to defensive positions,
Allowing lesser skilled players the opportunity to have increased playing time
Remove or add a player as appropriate
Our Goal is not to demoralize our opponent but to allow them to leave the soccer field with a sense of pride and the desire to compete to the best of their ability in their next game.
Thanks for your participation,
RSGSA Board
